CAREER PROGRAMS
FastTrackHER
An innovative workforce readiness initiative aimed at preparing women for high-demand industries. FastTrackHER is a new pilot in development for 2026. Short, intensive, and industry-informed, it creates pathways into underrepresented fields through sector connections, relevant certifications, and direct insight into emerging industry opportunities. The first pilot focuses on Newfoundland and Labrador’s construction sector in the Avalon region, with future iterations expanding to other industries across the province.
Pathways to Place
A province-wide pilot launching in 2026 that connects newcomer and immigrant women with eight-week, paid, work-integrated learning placements in local organizations. Participants gain workplace readiness skills, valuable Canadian experience, professional networks, and wraparound supports that promote success and belonging. Employers, in turn, strengthen their capacity through structured guidance that supports inclusive hiring, onboarding, and workplace practices.
Career Pathways
Career Pathways provides personalized, one-on-one career development and community-based supports that help women and gender-diverse individuals explore opportunities, build employability skills, and pursue meaningful work. Through outreach and pop-up programming, these services extend equitable access to career and education pathways across Newfoundland and Labrador.
